How do you get a job working for famous people??

Kenny Chesney has what he calls a local crew to help with his stage set up and other stuff. I was wondering how they find the people. I would love to say that i worked for him... even if it was just 1 day!! But i would love to get a perment job working for an artist as an assistant. Any one know how to go about that?
I work as a 911 dispatcher now, so i am good on the phone!!!

1) Have experience in the type of job. Work on the stage crew of a lesser artist. Do this enough that people start recognizing you as one of the best in your field. Probably you will need to do this for at least 10 years.

2) Know the right people. Be good friends with the stage manager, etc that is already on his crew. Better yet, become good friends with Kenny himself (or whichever artist you want to apply with).

That's really the only way to make it work.
